Transition II is a collage of sounds recorded over four years. It covers the country-scape of eastern Norway to the city-scape of western Germany. Like in my other compositions using field recordings, the transition from one situation to the other is in focus. Most of the sounds recorded in Norway are mainly from the everyday life of an ecological community and from the city of Oslo.

With this, I attempt to ask the question of the relevance of audible sounds we are surrounded with and what does it evoke when taken out of its original setting and context. And finally, is there a new narrative born within the listener?
